I’m sitting here at my desk right now thinking to myself, “What is a good programming related topic that I can write about currently that I feel even remotely strongly about?”
And nothing seems to come to mind despite making a few projects already, and despite currently having my life revolving around waking up and writing code in hopes that I might get a job.
… Ah, now I know what to talk about…
My current job search journey sucks… after graduating a coding bootcamp like a few weeks back – early February – I must now seek a job. First few days weren’t bad; I had a schedule in the morning to do algorithms with my bootcamp cohort, I had a routine to connect to others on LinkedIn, I had program ideas lined up, I applied to jobs, etc. I really liked how things were.
Until I got one of those “do this code thing so we can consider you for the job” emails. Which I did. And then bombed. It’s difficult to want to recall and describe because I’d have to look back in time, describe my anxiety, write down how I felt about it all, etc etc – it’s too time consuming for what’s just an opening post for a programming category on a blog I may or may not return to.
Although the whole thing bummed me out and knocked my “I’m going to be productive until I get a job!” schedule, I do think I have a newfound enjoyment out of programming small scale things.
Enough of this blog post though, I need to write and categorize the other ones.
